James Brown Black Xmas

It's "This Christmas" and The Temps "Silent Night" and maybe Charles Brown's "Merry Christmas Baby".  It's sweet potato pies, and maybe a whole bunch of cousins, and some amazing food, and lots of laughter, and a whole bunch of other layered traditions upon traditions.  It's also a tip to the day (Christmas) the Godfather of Soul left this realm, and moved onto the next.  Wherever he is, be assured it's blacker and funkier.  May he Rest in Peace.
